Planning a trip to North Bali and wondering where to stay in Lovina? Youโre in the right place. This area is much quieter than the popular tourist spots in the south, and thatโs exactly why I go.
I live in Bali and often head up to Lovina when I want to slow down, enjoy great local food, and take a proper break.
After a few trips and trying out different spots, I finally feel confident recommending the places that are actually worth it.

Best Area To Stay In Lovina
The most convenient area to consider is without a doubt Lovina Beach because you can walk anywhere you like.
The beach is there, as well as cafes, restaurants and small shops.
I always travel alone and Lovina Beach is my go-to location because I can walk anywhere and I can get some snacks to keep in my room from Pepito which is a really good international supermarket.
Best Places To Stay In Lovina
#1 Puri Bagus Lovina
Puri Bagus Lovina is one of the best choices in Lovina. It’s right by the beach and has a beautiful pool!
You can do yoga here and take advantage of the on-site restaurant if you don’t feel like going out. I like the communal areas here, they are quite big and it’s nice hanging out a bit with a book.
Rooms are pretty spacious with nice bathrooms too!

#2 New Sunari Lovina
I actually loved staying at the New Sunari Lovina. This place is incredible. It’s quite a big property (I even got lost a few times) but it’s super comfortable and convenient.
What I loved the most about the New Sunari was the gym! It has an amazing view over the Ocean, it’s well equipped and with a much-needed air conditioner.
They also have 2 swimming pools of which one is for children. I have to say the rooms are a bit old and could benefit an update but I still enjoyed my place and appreciated the gym!

#3 Nugraha Lovina Seaview Resort & Spa
Next we have Nugraha Lovina Seaview Resort & Spa. Sunsets here are unbelievable!
The rooms are made in traditional Balinese dรฉcor with a modern twist and sea-facing balconies to boot.
There are SPA, pool and restaurant on site, so super comfortable and pretty affordable for what it is.

#4 Lilin Lovina Beach Hotel
Now Lilin Lovina Beach Hotel, I really enjoyed my stay here! This accommodation is situated along the peaceful Lovina Beach and it’s super relaxing!
The rooms are very well decorated and include AC. Each room comes with a private bathroom and private pool as well. This is very enjoyable especially at night before going to bed.
The last time I went there was this amazing puppy that kept me company 24/7!

#5 Kelapa Lovina Beach Villa
Next we have Kelapa Lovina Beach Villa. Situated just a stone’s throw away from the beach, comes with a stunning pool and great amenities.
The rooms are cosy and the bathrooms are quite fancy/luxurious. You can pick between a sea view or a garden view, they are both lovely to have! This place comes with a restaurant and bar as well, which is always a good surprise!

#6 Alamanda Lovina Resort
If you have your own transport, you should consider Alamanda Lovina Resort. It’s not quite on the beach but not too far from it and it’s worth checking out (about 10 minutes away by scooter!).
The rooms are spacious and very nicely decorated. The private balconies are also quite spacious and with lovely views over the forest.
I like that this location is not that touristy so I can really relax a bit by the pool.

#7 The 1000 Dream Bungalow
Let’s move to 1000 Dream Bungalow. This place has really big bedrooms and bathrooms. The interior design is quite basic but nice and functional.
This property comes with an incredible pool facing the sea and a restaurant. Breakfast here is delicious and served by the sea!

#8 The Damai
This is a luxurious option you should seriously consider if you want to disconnect from everything!
The Damai is a magical place, especially for couples or if you are travelling alone and want to treat yourself.
It’s located about 10 to 15 minutes away from the beach but it’s high enough to have the perfect views over forest AND the sea!
Most rooms come with a private pool and a stunning view… check it out because it’s really worth it!

Oh absolutely! Lovina is far away from tourist spots in Bali and you can really enjoy long relaxing days by the black-sand beach!

Oh so many places! If I want Indonesian dishes I like Warung Nemo Lovina and my favourite cafe where I sometimes have big meals too is COFFEENOSKY Coffee & Eatery.

In Lovina Grab/Gojek taxis are not available! So you will need to rent a scooter.
