Best Places to Stay in Nusa Lembongan for Female Solo Travellers

If you are a female solo traveller in Bali or planning a trip to Bali, make sure to add Nusa Lembongan to your travel list! While you’ve probably heard about Nusa Panida before, you should totally skip it and head to Nusa Lembongan instead. I actually went there myself and joined an incredible yoga retreat to take a break from the busy Ubud and guess what? I had the best time ever and met lots of amazing female solo travellers as well! In this blog post, I’ll go through the best places to stay in Nusa Lembongan for female solo travellers like you who are looking for a welcoming and safe place to stay.

If that sounds good, carry on reading!

How to pick the right place:

Best Places to Stay in Nusa Lembongan for Female Solo Travelers. Silvia in Nusa Lembongan, Bali.

When booking your accommodation in Nusa Lembongan, consider location, price, and atmosphere. The most popular areas are Jungut Batu and Mushroom Bay, which offer easy access to beaches, restaurants, and activities. Prices range from budget-friendly homestays to luxurious villas. The island’s laid-back vibe makes it ideal for solo travellers looking for a relaxing getaway and meeting other travellers (scroll down to find out how 😉).

I stayed in Jungut Batu because that location didn’t require me to get a scooter or taxi, everything was within walking distance. In the evening you can even find lots of restaurants offering live music which is truly magical in Bali (especially by the sea!). This place is also close to the harbour where you can get speedboats to Bali or the Gilis!

Recommended Accommodations

Whether you’re a backpacker or a luxury lover, here below are some top picks for your unforgettable stay in Nusa Lembongan. As always, if you would like to meet other travellers or locals you should pick guest houses. If you want privacy or just relax with a book then the resort or villas are the best option.

Budget Options:

For budget options, I considered everything between $15 and $50. Most of the time this price would include breakfast as well. In terms of locations I mainly considered what I mentioned earlier, Mushroom Bay and Jungut Batu area.

1. Coconut Village Guest House

Let’s start with Coconut Village Guest House! This place is very well-maintained and looks amazing! The interior design is quite basic but each room has everything you need including a powerful air conditioner. Most of the rooms would face a lovely swimming pool which is where you will be able to meet other travellers and possibly make plans together! The location is quite convenient, close to many restaurants and cafes but also the famous Dream Beach which you should definitely check out!

💰 Price Range: ($24-$30)

🌴 Location: Conveniently situated near Dream Beach and Devil’s Tears, in a bustling part of the island.

Pros: Boasts a lively ambience, well-maintained rooms, and a warm and welcoming staff. Don’t miss the fantastic pool!

Cons: The vibrant surroundings may contribute to some noise, but that only adds to the excitement and charm.

2. Bale Lembongan

Next is Bale Lembongan. The villas here are immersed in the beautiful countryside which also reflects the interior design in each room. This place is very well-maintained with meticulous attention to the details. They serve a delicious breakfast and the pool is 😍 (just amazing). You might want to rent a scooter to reach the nearby beaches.

💰 Price Range: ($27-$50)

🌴 Location: Situated in the countryside halfway between the popular Mushroom Bay and Devil’s Tears

Pros: Boasts a lively ambience, well-maintained rooms, and a warm and welcoming staff. Don’t miss the fantastic pool!

Cons: The vibrant surroundings may contribute to some noise, but it adds to the lively atmosphere. Overall, a great choice for those looking for a balance of tranquillity and activity on their vacation.

3. Alam Nusa Bungalow Huts & Spa

Let’s move to Alam Nusa Bungalow Huts & Spa. The traditional bungalows offer a unique and authentic experience, surrounded by lush gardens and peaceful nature. Please note that most of the rooms come with an outdoor bathroom here. The nice thing about Bali is that you are immersed in nature but that also means you might receive some unexpected guests in the bathroom! Nothing wrong with that, I actually prefer it as it’s part of the full Bali experience, but if you are not too keen, maybe skip this one!

💰 Price Range: ($15-$20)

🌴 Location: Situated on the edge of Jungutbatu, only a short walk to the beach and close to popular restaurants.

Pros: Offers affordable accommodation with comfortable amenities, a tranquil atmosphere, and friendly staff. Don’t miss the delicious breakfast served daily!

Cons: The location may be too secluded for some travellers, but it’s perfect for those seeking a peaceful and authentic Balinese experience. Overall, a great choice for budget-conscious travellers looking for a chilled-out escape.

4. Lembongan Cliff Villas

Next, we have Lembongan Cliff Villas. Set in a breathtaking location, these cliffside villas are going to blow your mind. They are totally immersed in nature offering the best views over the Ocean. You can even walk to the beach from there or enjoy the pool. There is a local restaurant if you feel lazy.

🌴 Location: Perched on a cliff, overlooking the turquoise waters of Nusa Ceningan and Nusa Penida.

Pros: Immerse yourself in breathtaking views, comfortable accommodations, and personalised service from the attentive staff. Don’t forget to try out their delicious Indonesian cuisine at the restaurant.

Cons: Due to the cliffside location, some villas may not be suitable for those with mobility issues. However, the staff is always ready to assist with transportation and luggage.

5. Le Biu Garden View

The last budget option I would suggest is Le Biu Garden View. This place offers amazing garden bungalows in a peaceful location away from the crowds. However, you can still go for a short walk to the sea. The facilities include a small pool, airport pickup (from Bali) and bike rental. If you’re into surfing, the staff will help you arrange your surf trip too!

💰 Price Range: ($30-$80)

🌴 Location: Situated in a quiet area of Nusa Lembongan, surrounded by tropical gardens and within walking distance of Mushroom Beach.

Pros: Offers comfortable and spacious accommodations with stunning garden views, friendly staff, and a peaceful atmosphere. Guests also have access to a beautiful pool for added relaxation.

Cons: Some guests may prefer a more central location, but the peaceful surroundings make up for it. Plus, with complimentary bikes available, getting around the island is easy and convenient.

Mid-range Options:

For this mid-range options section, I selected the best places to stay in Nusa Lembongan for female solo travellers with a price range between $60 and $100. Whilst they might look more elevated compared to the budget options, they are still very friendly and provide fun excursions to join.

This place is one of the best on the island for solo travellers! I’m talking about Sunset Garden Nusa Lembongan. 4. Mahagiri Resort

The last mid-range option is Mahagiri Resort. As you can see, this stunning resort is located right on the beach. Whilst this is probably the biggest resort out of this mid-range list, they still offer activities to join where you will get the chance to meet other travellers.

💰 Price Range: ($60-$100)

🌴 Location: Set amidst lush greenery and overlooking the crystal clear waters of Nusa Lembongan, Mahagiri Resort is conveniently located near Jungut Batu Beach and Mushroom Bay.

Pros: Location, SPA, amazing staff and on-site restaurant.

Cons: While the secluded location offers privacy and tranquillity, it may be a bit farther from the main tourist attractions. However, we offer transportation services for your convenience.

Luxury Options:

1. Indiana Kenanga

Let’s start with this incredible beach resort called Indiana Kenanga. Located in an idyllic setting by Jungut Batu Beach, this place will blow your mind! The location is very convenient as it’s by the sea and surrounded by restaurants, however, the villa is super quiet you won’t get any night noises disturbing your sleep. The host will look after you with anything you might need (including amazing snorkelling trips). 4. The Tamarind Resort

Next we have The Tamarind Resort. This resort is not only surrounded by the most amazing greenery settings of the island, but it also offers some of the best facilities among the others.
