Best Places to Stay in Nusa Lembongan (Top Areas + Where to Book)
Planning a solo trip to Bali? Donโt skip Nusa Lembongan. While Nusa Penida is definitely more popular, Nusa Lembongan is right next door, quieter, easier to navigate, and much more relaxed!
I spent a few days there after leaving Ubud and joined a yoga retreat to unwind. It turned out to be one of the highlights of my time in Bali!
It’s been easy to meet other solo travellers and I loved the beaches (a lot nicer than most of the ones in Bali!). However, once the retreat ended, I had no idea about where to stay on the islands and what the best accommodations to book were!
So I decided to explore the island for longer and come back a few other times! Now I can finally report back on what the best places to stay in Nusa Lembongan are and which areas to look for, whether you’re on your own or with others!

Best Areas To Stay In Nusa Lembongan
Out of all the places, I would only recommend these areas highlighted on the map, and I will explain why!
Jungut Batu
This is my go-to location in Nusa Lembongan. It’s totally walkable, there are both Western and local food options and yoga studios. The beaches there are STUNNING and I get to meet other people easily if I’m travelling alone!
My hotel recommendation here is ๐Green Garden Restaurant and Bungalows, especially if you are travelling alone. I got to meet many other travellers here!
Mushroom Bay
Mushroom Bay area offers most of the luxurious places to stay in Nusa Lembongan and some upper-class restaurants. The beaches are nice, but the water is less shallow than at Jungut Batu.
I would say this area is best for couples or if you are a solo traveller who wants some peace and quiet.
My top pick here is ๐ Lembongan Cliff Villas! It’s a secluded area but you still easily walk to Mushroom Bay!
South Nusa Lembongan – near the Yellow Bridge
This area is the highest point of the island, and you can get the best views over the sea. It’s actually not that far from Mushroom Beach and other beautiful beaches on the island.
However, if you don’t drive a scooter, it might be tough to get around!
My top hotel pick here is ๐ Acala Shri Sedana! It’s a stunning resort with breathtaking views over the sea!
West side of Nusa Ceningan
As you guessed, we are not in Nusa Lembongan anymore but on the island next door! Sounds crazy, but they are so close, all you have to do is cross a yellow bridge!
I stayed in Nusa Ceningan alone for some time, and it’s been amazing! There are really nice (and affordable) restaurants right by the sea, and I enjoyed myself! It’s easy to walk if you’re on your own, and it’s super safe!
On the west side, there aren’t really beaches, but you can swim right next to the seaweed farms – it’s a beautiful experience, I would recommend it!
My top accommodation pick here is ๐ Aurora Beach View. I will never forget the sunsets I got to see right from my bedroom!
Best Places With A Seaview
The Acala Shri Sedana
I’m going to start with probably the best resort on the island and it’s not even that expensive for what it is! From the Acala Shri Sedana you get the best views over the sea and the nature around Nusa Lembongan.
The rooms here are spacious and have a modern/Western design. The pool is insanely beautiful, I don’t think it can get better than this in Bali!
This place is perfect for couples or big groups. If you are alone, you can also treat yourself here, but make sure you get your transport sorted!

Location: South of Nusa Lembongan, close to the Yellow Bridge!
Lembongan Cliff Villas
Lembongan Cliff Villas is another fantastic option with breathtaking sea views. Keep in mind that to get to most of the villas, you have to get through some steep steps, so if you have health conditions, maybe it’s not the best pick!
But let me tell you, these villas are stunning and located 5 minutes walk from the sea and 25 minutes walk to Mushroom Bay. So you get some privacy and amazing sea views, but you are not isolated.
There are also a few restaurants and cafes nearby, but definitely a lot more options if you go to Mushroom Bay!

Aurora Beach View

I found Aurora Beach View to be one of the best places to stay in Bali as a whole! I know it’s a big claim, but it’s true! Especially as a female solo traveller.
This place is located on the west side of Nusa Ceningan, and it’s magical!
Every room here has the perfect sea view over the strip between Nusa Ceningan and Nusa Lembongan, and guess what? There are seaweed farms here, and you can swim right next to them!
Your stay will come with breakfast, but there are many cafes nearby where you can easily walk to in the morning.
As soon as I woke up, I would do some yoga by the pool, looking at the sea, and meditate. I also really enjoyed the sunsets, they were incredible!

Villa Nusa
If you are looking for a massive villa with sea views in Nusa Lembongan, check out Villa Nusa. This place is perfect for isolation and relaxation. It comes with 3 bedrooms, incredible views and lots of nature.
There are lots of local services including laundry, breakfast, daily room cleaning and airport shuttle. This area is not easy to navigate if you don’t drive, but you will definitely feel like you don’t want to leave this villa anyway!

Best Places to Stay in Nusa Lembongan for Solo Travellers
Sunset Garden Nusa Lembongan
This place is one of the best on the island for solo travellers! I’m talking about Sunset Garden Nusa Lembongan and it’s located right in the Jungut Batu area, which I mentioned before being the perfect location on Nusa Lembongan to socialise and walk around.
This resort offers lots of cultural experiences, snorkelling trips, live music, dance shows… You name it, they have it! I really appreciate these social events when travelling alone, so that I have the option to meet people if I feel guided to!

Dwiki Putra Home Stay
If you are travelling alone and want to be right by the beach and not spend a fortune, you should take a look at Dwiki Putra Home Stay.
You can easily walk wherever you like, go to yoga classes and go for a swim in the sea. The owners are lovely and would organise trips or anything you need for you!
There is also a room with sea views, which probably gets booked up quickly, so make sure to secure it in advance!

Green Garden Restaurant and Bungalows
As a female solo traveller, Green Garden Restaurant and Bungalows has been the best stay in Nusa Lembongan. I joined their yoga retreat and met lovely girls as well!
The bungalows are really well done and beautiful. They are next to each other, but you wouldn’t tell because each room is super quiet!
I also loved the bathroom, which was partially open, so you get a bit of nature inside, but still super clean and amazing. They also offer breakfast, a pool and organise trips for you! If you don’t want to commit to the yoga retreat, you can still join any class you want and pay per class rather than a big package.

Best Budget Stays On The Island
Alam Nusa Bungalow Huts & Spa
Alam Nusa Bungalow Huts & Spa is an affordable but really cute place to stay in Nusa Lembongan.
The rooms are within traditional bungalows, and they are well decorated. There is no pool, but the location is perfect, right by Mushroom Beach, which is one of the best beaches in Nusa Lembongan for swimming!
There is a restaurant by the property and breakfast is usually included, but this area is well served by restaurants and cafes anyway, so you have plenty of options!

Le Biu Garden View
The last budget option I would suggest is Le Biu Garden View. This place offers amazing garden bungalows in a peaceful location away from the crowds. However, you can still go for a short walk to the sea.
The facilities include a small pool, airport pickup (from Bali) and bike rental. If you’re into surfing, the staff will help you arrange your surf trip too!

How To Get To Nusa Lembongan From Bali
The easiest way to get from Bali to Nusa Lembongan is from Sanur Harbour, however, I wouldn’t recommend going to the harbour to get the ticket for your ferry but get it online instead.
It’s a very busy place, and it’s hard to understand if someone is about to scam you or not!
๐ I always book my ferry through 12Go and select “Rocky Ferry Fast Cruises”. This is my go-to ferry; they have the best staff on board, and it’s safe!

Wherever you are in Bali, all you have to do is book a private driver to Sanur harbour or select the Rocky Ferry Fast Cruises option with pick-up! It’s slow, but it works, and it’s affordable. I’ve done it before!

Is it better to stay in Nusa Penida or Lembongan?
Between the 2 I will always recommend Nusa Lembongan because it’s not crowded and it’s honestly beautiful. The beaches are accessible and swimmable.
Nusa Penida is still a great choice if you want to go on touristy experiences or book some really unique stays!
Is Nusa Lembongan walkable?
Yes, it’s one of the things that make the island perfect for solo travellers. You can rent a bike, but most places are within walking distance unless you are staying on top of a hill in the central part of the island.
Where can I meet people in Nusa Lembongan?
Hostels, beach clubs, and activity groups (like surf lessons, snorkelling or yoga classes) are great places to meet fellow travellers. I personally met a lot of people during my yoga retreat at Yoga Bliss and had an amazing experience!

A few things to know before going to the island are that there aren’t many cash points and supermarkets. So, make sure you bring everything you need from Bali, including SPF and a microfibre towel that you can use for the beach.
