Travel Resources
This is a list of travel resources for Bali and mostly worldwide too!
How to Find Cheap Flights and Airport Lounges
Skyscanner β Skyscanner is my go-to place to find and book the best flights. It’s easy to use and it shows affordable prices – worldwide!
Google Flights – This is a great alternative to Skyscanner. I love how you can see the prices straight away when pressing on “departure”. This is not valid if you selected a country or “anywhere” in the destination section. You have to select a specific destination. I normally use Google Flight first (to find out the best prices and dates) and then move to Skyscanner to book the flights.
Priority Pass – If you’re a frequent traveller, get your priority pass membership to get lounge access to any airport in the world!
Klook – This is often another place to find lounge access to airports!
Booking.com Driver for Airport Pickups – Do you have a late flight or are too tired to think of how to reach your accommodation from the airport? Booking your driver on Booking.com is the easiest option! I love how I can easily book it in advance and the driver will have my flight details so no anxiety if my flight is late!
Staying Connected
Ubigi eSIM β This is the best eSIM for travel worldwide. It is easy to set up, activates instantly, and has given me stronger coverage and more consistent service than other eSIMs I have tested.
Best Accommodation Resources
Trusted HousesittersΒ β This is the best way to get free accommodation if you are a pet lover! You get to stay in amazing houses looking after lovely pets when their owners are away!
HostelWorld β If you are looking for hostels, this is where to look. You can filter by private rooms or dorms (mixed or not). Sometimes it’s nice to get a private room in a hostel and enjoy the social part of it.
Booking.com β Head here to look for hotels, hostels, houses, you name it – booking.com has it! Make the most of the filters to find your place quicker. I normally go for rates 8+ (or 9+), set the budget, free wifi and a kitchenette (if I want to make some meals when away!).
Expedia β Sometimes you can get some deals here, it’s worth taking a look at this site too!
Agoda β My go-to for places in South East Asia. Sometimes hotels are slightly cheaper than booking.com or a few hotels are only available on Agoda.
Vrbo β If you are looking for stunning villas or houses, this place is worth checking out.
Scooter or Car Rental
Bikeago – Head here to rent scooters in Bali!
Expedia β This is the best site for renting cars in Bali. There is a wide range of cars available even directly from the airport.
Discover Cars β This is a great site to rent cars but not always available in Bali.
Public Transport in Bali or Worldwide!
12Go – This is the best site to look for public transport in Bali and Asia in general.
Rail Europe – If your Bali trip extends all the way to Europe, check out this site to find the best train deals!
Retreats All Over The World
Bookyogaretreats – This site is super easy to use. I normally select the location, duration, and budget and that’s it! They will show you the best retreats!
Booksurfcamps – Sometimes surf camps are hard to find, but this site makes it very easy!
Best Tours for Female Solo Travellers
GetYourGuide β This is the best site for experiences. They have the most competitive prices and great customer service. They literally answer the silliest questions that come to my mind!
Viator β This is a great alternative if you can’t find your experience on the previous site. There are still great alternatives at fantastic prices.
Klookβ Head to this site if you are planning a trip to Asia. It’s easy to use and you can even book your massage here.
Big Bus Tours – This is the typical sightseeing bus which is a lot of fun when exploring new places in a short time!
Travel Safety and Health Essentials
HeyMondo β This is the best travel insurance, especially for female solo travellers. It’s affordable and you get 24/7 support. Not feeling well when you’re alone is not fun! But here you get all the help you need immediately. It’s also pretty flexible if your travel schedule changes.
Grab your guide on where to find tampons in Bali because it’s hard to find them. You will get a full list and downloadable Google Maps with saved locations – so you go to Bali prepared!
Best Card To Use When Travelling
Wise.com β You can get your card through the website or you can use your account for sending and receiving money in different currencies.
