If you’re looking for a stress-free option, booking a private driver is an excellent choice. The driver will meet you at the airport and take you directly to your accommodation in Uluwatu.
This could be a convenient choice, especially if you’re travelling with a lot of luggage or arriving at odd hours.

You can book a private driver through platforms like Klook. Prices are typically around $30 for a one-way transfer. This option provides peace of mind, especially if you’re unfamiliar with Bali’s roadways.
For me, it’s a bit like having my parents pick me up. I know the driver would be there waiting for me, especially when it’s late at night!

Hotel Transfers:
Many hotels in Uluwatu offer airport pick-up services. It’s worth contacting your accommodation ahead of time to check if they provide this service and inquire about rates.
Most of the time, this would be more expensive than any other alternatives, but you can always try, you might get lucky!
Option 2: Rent a Car or Scooter
Renting your own vehicle provides flexibility to explore Uluwatu and beyond at your own pace. This option is ideal if you want to make a few stops along the way or visit nearby attractions.

Ideal for groups or travellers with luggage, rental cars start at around IDR 300,000 ($20) per day. Klook is the platform in Bali and it gives you many car options based on your budget and needs!

Scooter Rental
If you’re comfortable navigating the roads, renting a scooter can be a cost-effective and convenient option. Scooter rentals cost between IDR 60,000 and IDR 100,000 ($4–$7) per day.
Bikago is the best site for renting scooters in Bali. This is a great option for solo travellers or couples who want to zip around Uluwatu easily. Note that the terrain in Uluwatu can be hilly, so previous scooter riding experience is recommended.

Option 3: “Grab” Car or Scooter
Grab is a popular ride-booking service in Bali and offers convenient transportation to Uluwatu. It’s the equivalent of the well-known “Uber” we have in the West. It’s efficient, convenient and perfect for solo travellers as well! You can go anywhere you want and it doesn’t cost a fortune!
So, here you have 2 options. Grab Car and Grab scooter:
Grab Car
You can book a Grab car via the app. Fares from the airport to Uluwatu usually range from IDR 150,000 to IDR 200,000 ($10–$13). The Grab pick-up area is clearly marked outside the terminal.
Grab is often a convenient choice for those who prefer not to deal with rental logistics and want a hassle-free ride straight to their destination. Also, you pay through the app with the credit card of your choice, so no cash is needed!
Grab Scooter
For solo travellers or those with light luggage, Grab offers scooter rides. This is one of the most economical choices, with fares starting at just IDR 60,000 ($4).

When renting a car or scooter, you have the freedom to stop and explore on your way to Uluwatu. Here are a few places worth checking out along the route:

No, Uber no longer operates in Bali. Grab is the primary ride-hailing service available, along with Gojek. Both services offer convenient options for both scooters and cars.
