Bali Airport Shower Facilities: Everything You Need to Know
Many of us would have late evening flights from Bali. This means we will try to make the most of our day. Possibly sweating like there is no tomorrow or spending the day by the beach.
A shower can make a huge difference in feeling refreshed before boarding a long flight. At Bali’s Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS Airport), shower facilities are available, but there are also affordable alternatives if you’re not keen on splurging.
If that sounds good, keep reading…

Can You Shower at Bali Airport?

Short answer: Yes, but you have to pay for it!
Ngurah Rai International Airport (often called Denpasar Airport) offers shower facilities in only one lounge located in the international terminal.
This lounge is called Tujuwan Lounge and provides access to showers, plugs to charge phones/laptops, comfortable seating, food options, and other amenities to help you relax before your flight.
However, it comes with a fee. You can only access the lounge for free if you are a Business or First Class passenger for Emirates, Qatar, Qantas and other airlines. Otherwise, you will have to book your pass online or by the door. The price hovers $50.
Please Note: If you are a member of Priority Pass – you can’t book the Tujuwan Lounge! You will see the Concordia Lounge available but it doesn’t come with showers! What is Priority Pass? It’s a cool lounge membership for frequent travellers. However, this time is not going to be useful!
How to get to Tujuwan Lounge?
After Passport Control, go through the Duty-Free Area, and take the lift up to the Mezzanine Level. The entrance is on the 3rd Floor.
A bit more about this lounge
This lounge is the old “Premier Lounge,” which has recently been renamed. The old lounge used to have terrible reviews; however, this one is getting better feedback from travellers so far.
Budget-Friendly Alternative to Shower Before Your Flight
If lounge access feels like an unnecessary expense, there are still affordable and convenient ways to freshen up before heading to the airport. Here are some of my tried-and-tested recommendations:
#1 This affordable SPA near the airport
Why is this a reasonable option? Because it’s 10 minutes away from the airport! And if you book at least 2 massages, they will take you to the airport for free right after your massage! And of course, they have showers. The Spa is called Jasmine Aromatic House and it’s very popular for travellers to head there right before their flight. A 90-minute massage here is $28. A lot cheaper than the lounge and it actually provides shower gel and towel too!
If you’re on your own, book your transfer to the airport on Klook.com so you can easily get there after your massage!

#2 Go to fitness studios and yoga centres

I know this is strange, but hear me out. Before getting on a long flight you want to tire yourself out or at least stretch as much as you can. Why not join a fitness or yoga class?
These centres in Bali are excellent places to shower, as they often have clean and well-maintained facilities. So I would suggest booking a nice class and then shower straight after.
You will have to bring your own towel – the shower gel is normally provided. Here are a few places I normally go to for class + shower:
- Yoga Barn (Ubud): This place is amazing! You will definitely visit it at least once during your stay in Ubud. The yoga classes here are incredible. They also have meditations, workshops, sound healing and pilates! Shower rooms here are simple but lovely. They also have a big changing room!
- Bamboo Fitness (Uluwatu): Popular for its proximity to surf spots, Bamboo Fitness has modern, clean showers that you can use after a class.
- The Space (Uluwatu): Offers amazing yoga classes and well-maintained shower facilities, making it a favourite among travellers.
#3 Beachside Shower Facilities
Many beaches in Bali, particularly those in Sanur, have public shower facilities. While these are basic, they are very affordable and perfect for a quick rinse.
- Sanur Beach Showers: Located along the main promenade.
- Kuta Beach Public Showers: Basic but functional showers near the surf schools.
#4 Beachclubs!
If you want to spend your last day with all the comforts and perfect facilities you should opt for a beach club. Bali is famous for its refined beach clubs so you should check them out for sure. And you can obviously go for a nice shower there before leaving! Here is a list of a few to consider:
White Rock: This place is located in Malesti Beach. You can watch an amazing sunset before heading to the airport! The day pass here is $35, which is still cheaper than the lounge pass and a lot nicer!
Canna: This is a beachblub in Nusa Dua. It’s organised on different levels with pools, restaurants and obviously showers! The day pass starts from $8
👉 Check Out Day Pass Availability At Canna
Vue: Beachclub located in Canggu. The day pass is around $9. Canggu is about 45 minutes from the airport!

#5 Spas with Shower Access
As mentioned before, Spas in Bali usually have private showers in their treatment rooms. Booking a massage or body treatment not only gives you access to the shower but also helps you relax before a long flight.
Here are a few massage options from where you are in Bali. Otherwise, you can always go to the first suggestion I gave on this blog post, which is booking the SPA near the airport!
- Forest View Spa at Svaha Spa Bisma (Ubud): This spa is stunning and it provides DREAMY massages! Check out my review here.
👉 I booked my massage through Klook, it’s easy to use and it gives you different treatment options!
- Spa at Renaissance Bali Uluwatu Resort (Uluwatu): This spa, situated in a well-known resort, delivers high-quality services alongside the convenience of private showers.
- Svaha Spa Nelayan (Canggu): A popular choice in the busy area of Canggu, this spa offers shower-equipped treatment rooms, so you’re refreshed and ready for the airport.
The Last Resort – Free Changing Rooms!

I’ve resorted to this a few times when I had no time for a massage, class or anything where I could get a nice shower before my flight. Desperate times call for desperate measures. If you are like me, I would rather hang out on Bingin Beach until it’s literally time to go!
What I do in the changing room is use these cheap water-based wipes and get changed into my flight outfit! These are located just to the left as you enter the departure terminal.
Where to Eat at DPS Airport
Trust me when I say that finding a good place to eat at Bali airport is a mission. All you want is some comfort and nourishing food before your flight! If you open your Google Maps at the airport and look at reviews of the restaurants available, you will cry.
Filter reviews by “Bali belly” or “food poisoning” and you will regret not picking up that banana from your breakfast buffet in the morning. I’ve been there and I’m pleased to share that I finally found a really good place!
Recommended Restaurant: Garlic & Salt

It’s called Garlic & Salt and it has plenty of options! I had Soto Ayam which is a traditional Indonesian soup with chicken and noodles. It was super fresh and delicious.
They have a great menu with many options. For example, my mum got a burger and it was decent!
If you’re cautious about food quality, this is one of the safest bets at the airport.

FAQs About Bali Airport Facilities
Are There Public Showers at Bali Airport?
No, showers are only available in the paid lounge.
What Is the Best Way to Freshen Up Before a Flight?
Options include using a lounge at the airport, visiting a nearby fitness studio, or showering at a beach or spa before arriving at the airport.
Is There a Qantas Lounge at Bali Airport?
No, but the Tujuwan Lounge is available for Qantas Business Class passengers and premium members.
How do I get to Bali Airport?
I always recommend booking your private driver via Klook.com from wherever you are. Otherwise, you can rent a car, rent a scooter or get a Grab taxi!
Are there water fountains at Bali Airport?
Yes! I’ve seen a water fountain just in front of Gate 5! It’s only cold water (no hot water available), and there is normally a long queue – make sure you get there a lot earlier than your flight!
My Go-To Strategy
My favourite option is always going for a class before heading to the airport, this way I get tired and I’m ready to be seated for eternity ahahh
So, I would then shower at the studio. Remember that if you shower at the studios, you will need your towel (that’s something to keep in mind!). Spas are also great options, and they would provide everything you need too – perfect if you travel light!

🚑 Should I buy travel insurance for Bali?
✅ 100% YES! — My #1 safety tip for all travellers is to buy travel insurance for every trip in case anything happens during their visit (and yes, Bali belly is a thing!). I highly recommend HeyMondo – you get 24/7 support and it’s budget-friendly!
💧Can you drink the water in Bali?
🚱 No — It’s recommended to drink filtered or bottled water in Bali (I even brush my teeth with filtered water).
🏩 What’s the best way to book my Bali accommodations?
My go-to for Bali hotels is Booking.com. For hostels, I normally go for Hostelworld (you can also filter by private rooms if you want!). If you love pets you should consider Trusted Housesitters, you would get free accommodation in exchange for looking after amazing pets ❤️

Get Your Guide and Viator are the best ones. You can go through the reviews to learn more about each activity and they have amazing customer support!
🛒 Will I find tampons in Bali?

I always recommend reserving your taxi in advance via Klook. This is because it will ask you for flight details and the driver will be able to track your flight in real time. 💰 𝗖𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆: The currency here is the Indonesian Rupiah (IDR), and there are plenty of ATMs if you need cash. I always withdraw from ATMs to get the best rates (select “no” when it asks you if you accept the conversion rate). The best debit card to use when travelling to Bali is Wise!
🚕 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Getting around Bali is easy peasy! Rent your scooter on BikAgo. The alternative would be getting a scooter taxi using Grab or Gojek which are safe and cheap in major places like Ubud, Canggu and Uluwatu. You can also book your private driver!
